  • Not entirely what you asked, but if you are using AD you'd want at least 2 DCs, and each would have DNS role so my money is on DNS settings point to DC1 and DC2.
  • I had this issue rolling out TZ370 and NSA2700 for clients. They also used MFA. My consultant account does not. I ended up having to register with MY account then I transferred over to theirs. You may want to try disabling MFA for a day and registering then re-enabling MFA
  • No, what you are asking needs a L2/L3 switch to do what you want. Even with subinterfaces on the X0 you still needs someone to add and strip the VLAN tags.
  • Do you want to use the internal WIFI like it is part of your LAN? Click the wizard thing one of the options is to bridge the wireless to the LAN. Right now from what I can tell the are in different zones - and the default would block zone to zone. And yes that TZ215 is 15 or so years old.
  • Yes you will get whatever your ISP gives you. However the LAN ports will still be 1 Gbit so you would need to portchannel/LAG the LAN side and even with that you may not see over 1Gbit per speed test. You could have 2 PCs doing speed-tests together and see 900ish on each however.
  • you know what else should be part of "everyone's" routine? SonicWall actually test firmware before releasing dumpster fires
  • I know I am late to the party and you probably don't want to hear this - for our install at the head office we use a Cisco 2960X stack with SVIs to handle server and PC/USer vlan traffic. This is done at line rate as its a hardware ASIC. Using a firewall (any vendor really) this will be handled in software/CPU on the…
  • Installed it Friday night on NSA2700 it was fine. TZ370 blew up which required me to put the TZ400 back in place. Wasted a whole day trying to get SonicWall support to answer the phone on Sunday (24/7 support is joke). If its a small office and you can wipe it and clean load 7.1.1 and enter the config by hand it seems ok.…
  • Are both of your DSL devices giving you a real IP or a NAT IP? Also is it static of DHCP? I had an issue with dual DSL where I had to set each DSL as such DSL1 192.168.1.1 X1 WAN 192.168.1.2 DSL2 192.168.2.1 X2 WAN 192.168.2.2 In my case I had to have them both static. If either was DHCP upon WAN IP DHCP renew traffic…
  • That's a Gen 6 which is EOS/EOL I believe what you have is the latest and the last.
  • I question the QA validation process given how many issues 7.1.1 created.
  • I had issue with TZ370 rebooting / crashing after 7.1.1 upgrade. I tried to reach support as a whole site was down and after 3 hours stuck in the call queue I gave up. 24/7 support which is worse that is was when Dell owned them and that is really saying something. I could get in with safe boot BUT... Error-ed out exiting…
